How to Love Your Demon Lord — Will she break first? Or will he?
A banished tsundere Demon Lord fights her way home through six gothic biomes toward her throne, dragging along a hopelessly devoted AI-controlled Hero who keeps wandering into danger. Rescue him with Slap Attack — combat move and core gag in one. No villain: geography and her own pride are the obstacle. Hidden affection meter, no HUD.
The slap is the love language
Rescue system & companion AI
She is the player. He is the story — a golden-retriever Hero who paths toward shiny bait, enemies, and ledges on his own. Slap Attack knocks him out of hazard range, interrupts enemies mid-attack, and doubles as the game’s visual gag. Light and heavy punches clear standard foes.
AI states: Follow → Distracted → In Trouble (attention callout) → Rescued or Down. Every mechanical beat is also an emotional beat — a rescue is a punchline, a punchline is a rescue.
Six biomes home
Exile to throne
Dark Cursed Village → Graveyard Gate → Ancient Ruins Temple → Dark Crimson Necropolis → Cute Dark/Royal Castle pair → Gothic Throne Hall finale. Feudal Japan Enemies and Infernal Axe Warrior miniboss at peak density.
Hidden affection meter unlocks banter, visual tells, and throne-room ending shape — wall breaks or wall holds. Tonal reference: Maoyu: Archenemy & Hero, played for slapstick comedy. M1–M4 milestones · GDD v0.2.
